In the Spring of 2017 I embarked on a project called The One Hundred Days Project, in which I created a drawing a day for one hundred days. At the end of that period I had a collection of one hundred very interesting drawings which I subsequently bound in a book and funded via Kickstarter. I reached funding in two hours and eventually earned seven times my initial funding goal.
This project was born from the Inktober initiative which encourages artists to improve their inking skills. Acting on a suggestion from my brother, I started drawing animals at work every day for the month of October. To increase the challenge, the work was all old-fashioned and the animals were alphabetical and started with the same letter as their occupation. The project developed beautifully and in December 2016 I released a limited edition book of the drawings. It is available at my Etsy.
I am sometimes available to paint murals in the Portland metro area.
